This version of the COPE WITH CANCER
CD-ROM is dated November 1, 1998.
This program runs best at 16 bit colour depth. To
change your monitor settings open Start/Settings/
Control Panel and double click on the display icon.
Select settings at the top of the display window and
under color palettes select "High Color (16 bit)" and
restart your computer.
However if playback of digital video movies (ie.
interview clips) is not satisfactory try setting the
color depth to 256 (8 bit). Follow the above steps
outlined for setting monitor to 16 bit but select 256
(8 bit) instead of 16 bit.
WINDOWS 95:
To launch the COPE WITH CANCER program: Click on
"setup95.exe" or "setup95" and follow the instructions.
If you do not already have version 2.1 of the 32bit
QuickTime Movie Player installed on your system you will
need to install it in order to play the movies in the
COPE WITH CANCER program. The SetUp program will give you
the option of installing QuickTime, or not, depending on what
you already have installed on your system.
Once the setup program has installed QuickTime (if needed)
you will need to launch the program installed
on your hard drive under Start/Programs/Cope
called "cope.exe" or "cope". This will start the
COPE WITH CANCER program.
WINDOWS 3.1:
To launch the COPE WITH CANCER program: Click on
"setup31.exe" or "setup31" and follow the instructions.
If you do not already have version 2.1 of the 16bit
QuickTime Movie Player installed on your system you will
need to install it in order to play the movies in the
COPE WITH CANCER program. The setup program will give you the
option of installing QuickTime, or not, depending on what
you already have installed on your system.
Once the setup program has installed QuickTime (if needed)
you will need to launch the program installed
on your hard drive under Program Manager/Cope called
"cope31.exe" or "cope31". Selecting this will start the
COPE WITH CANCER program.
